OUR MISSION
Off The Couch (OTC) was founded by Trey Herlitz-Ferguson with one mission: to help families and young people step out of cycles of struggle and into lasting change.
We know firsthand how overwhelming addiction, mental health challenges, and failure to launch can feel. That’s why we don’t just coach, we build teams, create structure, and walk alongside families through every stage of the journey. Our approach blends compassion with accountability, combining one-on-one coaching, parent support, and practical tools with an emphasis on adventure and movement.
The name Off The Couch reflects our philosophy: real change doesn’t happen sitting still. The couch has become a symbol of being stuck, in addiction, depression, anxiety, or apathy. We believe the most meaningful growth happens outside, in nature, and through action. Whether it’s a hike, a workout, or building a daily plan, momentum comes from movement. Off The Couch is about choosing action over avoidance, and stepping into a life filled with purpose and possibility.
